Re-Volt Car Extraction 3DS Plug-in
written by Gari Biasillo
-----------------------------------
**** Please note that the two plug-in will only work with 3DS Max release 2.5 or 3.0 respectively ****
Instructions for Use
--------------------
1. Copy the plugin file ("ReVolt Export Max2.5.dli" or "ReVolt Export Max3.0.dli"
depending on which version of 3dsmax you are using) into the STDPlugins subdirectory
of your 3DS Max folder.
2. Create a model ensuring that it fits inside a sphere with a diameter
of 140 (or a radius of 70) from the world origin and that there is only
one model.
3. Reset X-form on the model.
4. Texture the model with whatever textures you like ensuring that all
textures are from the same texture page.
5. Select the Re-Volt option from the Export menu, naming the file
body.prm.
6. Exit 3DSMax and open Windows Explorer.
7. Create a car directory by copying one of the existing Re-Volt
car directories in your Re-Volt\cars directory (e.g. tc1),
calling it whatever name you want. For best results use a car with
similar size to the one you are creating.
8. Edit the file "parameters.txt" and change the paths of the Model Filenames
section (at the top of the file) to point to the directory you have just created.
Give the car the name as you want it to appear in the game at the very top
of the file in " " quote marks..
9. Copy "body.prm" and your texture page (renaming it car.bmp)
into the directory you created, making sure their filenames are
as referenced in "parameters.txt" that you just edited..
10. Run the game, and on the car selection screen your car should now
be selectable!
